This composition was a private commission for an alternative movie poster for the film Jurassic Park. I decided on the palette of pinks, purples and yellows to visually express the sunset hour. This way, I could display the sun showing through the skull as an eyeball to bring life to an otherwise inanimate object. I also used sharp diagonals at the neck to add movement. The head is framed with jungle foliage to both tie the composition together and to add a semi-solid backdrop for the title treatment and directors name.
